Song of the summer! Tropical dancey vibes in this unexpected collaboration among Amsterdam beat makers Yellow Claw and Cesqueux and Mexican-American pop singer Becky G.
The song opens by establishing a happy tropical feel, almost a Paul Simon Graceland-era sound. Then Becky G comes in with the radio-friendly R&B pop vocals that smash the song out of the park.
I love how when they get to the intense build, it climaxes and drops -- not into the dark trap tones you might expect -- but into a fun dance party on the beach with steel drums and irresistible rhythm. Totally infectious.
The song was released by five days ago on Diplo's label Mad Decent. It's streaming on Soundcloud and YouTube and available to purchase on iTunes and Beatport.
