I get excited whenever I hear the bass-snare beat at the start of Michael Jackson's 1982 hit Billie Jean, and this track gets off on the same foot. But it winds up in completely different direction, as a stripped down disco remix of a song from German nu-disco giant Munk's new album "Chanson 3000."
Leeds producer Miguel Campbell uses artistic restraint, employing minimal bass, a singular guitar pluck and wide brassy synthesizers to bring super cool vibe to the original. It's part of a remix pack available now on Beatport.
