Labor Day Jams

We are approaching the Labor Day holiday weekend here in the United States, which is the unofficial end of summer. For us it means a four day break from work and a time to sit back and chill. Extra bonus this year! We are going to see post-disco legends The Whispers at Laborfest in San Antonio! Follow me on Twitter for updates.

Of course, we'll also be sipping wine and enjoying only the finest disco music.

Funkastic is a producer from Bordeaux, France whose debut EP The Dream Come True was released about a month ago. Pure nu-disco goodness, especially on the first track "You Make Me Feel So Good," an energetic track bristling with bright brass and talkbox vocals. (Yesterday, he also posted this free track.)

Tonbe is one of the most prolific nu-disco producers you'll come across. He's from Smederevo, Serbia and keeps pumping out exquisitely produced nu-disco tracks. His newest EP Boogie Mood comes out on October 7 on the Serbian label Happy Days Records, but the preview is out now!

Montreal producer Robotaki is developing a bittersweet indie dance sound, and his latest remix expresses that same wistful futurism. Using synthesizers to craft heavily emotional music, he transforms a track by San Francisco's The M Machine into a sunny daydream.
