Hell yeah! This is just what our Friday needs. Classixx is pulling the veil back a bit further on their forthcoming full-length album "Hanging Gardens" due out May 14. This spacey disco track gets some perfectly restrained vocals from Nancy Whang of New York City's LCD Soundsystem!"Instrumentally, 'All You're Waiting For' came about the way most of our songs do: just creating some sounds, grooves and chances in our studio," Classixx's Michael David told Rolling Stone. "Nick from Holy Ghost! let us use his home studio; he even engineered it for us." Even the nerds over at Pitchfork love it, declaring the song a "Best New Track."
By involving these Brooklyn artists, the LA-based production duo has totally achieved that DFA Records indie dance disco sound. This track is funky and danceable but also has an uplifting sing-a-long chorus. Best of both worlds!
