Rain Sword - Cardboard Kings

A 21-year-old producer from Newport Beach, California is churning out authentic 1980s post-disco tracks using vintage synthesizers. This track from Rain Sword is clearly a tribute to the electro beats that would push break dancers to do their thing on the street corner.

I love the combination of analog synths with modern production techniques. It provides for more clarity of sound than we could have hoped for in the early days of 80s electro from artists like The System or Hashim. This is simultaneously rare vintage and 2013 fresh. Free download too!
