Zapp and Roger - The Unsung documentary

If you're reading this blog, you probably already know how Roger Troutman and his brothers created an infectious disco funk that not only placed the talk box center stage for the first time, but also laid some of the ground work for West Coast hip hop. We've been watching these Unsung documentaries from TVOne, a channel in the United States focused on African-Americans.

The documentaries are incredibly informative, even rote at times, but the Zapp and Roger documentary is well worth the inconvenience of having to watch it broken up into five separate YouTube videos.
